Andrew Leeper

A former marine, Andrew has over 30 years of experience handling cases from pre-suit through litigation and post-trial matters. He is knowledgeable in all types of complicated legal issues involved in civil litigation.

SYED QADRI

Associate

Syed graduated from the University of Central Florida at the age of 20 with honors, with a double major in both political science and American history. He then attended Florida State University's College of Law, and had the privilege of learning the rules of evidence from renowned Professor Charles Ehrhardt, author of the leading treatise on evidence used by judges from Pensacola to Miami. After graduating from law school at the age of 23, Syed became a public defender in Ocala, and then moved back to Orlando to become a prosecutor, where he swiftly rose through the ranks and was eventually assigned to the homicide unit. Seeking to tackle new challenges, Syed then left the prosecution world behind and joined a large insurance defense firm in Orlando, where he worked prior to coming on-board at Leeper & Associates. Syed has extensive litigation experience, having tried over 100 cases to verdict, in addition to numerous motion hearings. Syed has also handled over a dozen appeals, some of which involved oral argument before an appellate panel.

MELANIE SCAVINO

Associate

Ms. Scavino is an attorney practicing primarily in insurance defense litigation and insurance coverage matters. She has an extensive insurance defense and trial background as she was a paralegal for approximately ten years before becoming an attorney. She received her paralegal degree at the University of Miami and worked full-time at law firms covering the areas of auto insurance defense, trucking law, homeowner insurance defense, and premises liability.  She rose up to becoming a Trial Paralegal at Leeper & Associates, P.A., and at at the same time she graduated law school at Florida A&M University College of Law on the Dean’s List and received the book award in her Florida Bar class.
